Faculty position in Law Esade Law School

FACULTY POSITION IN PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW
ESADE LAW SCHOOL

ESADE Law School has a 40 hour/week vacancy for a Contracted
Doctoral Professor specialised in the field of public international law
and the European Union. The selected candidate must begin work in
September 2017.

The candidate must have a PhD in the field of public international
law and/or the European Union (or be expected to earn such a PhD in
the near future) and have a background in teaching and research that
demonstrates his/her potential, in accordance with the strategic focus
of ESADE Law School. Special consideration will be given to candidates
with a consolidated national and international career who are capable
of transmitting a solid theoretical and practical vision in their teaching
activity.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent teaching skills, as
he/she will have an active teaching role in both undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes in the area of public international law and
the European Union, most notably in legal/economic aspects. The
candidate must demonstrate the capacity and have sufficient
experience to contribute to transversal strategic projects in both public
and private law, as well as in subjects related to international relations.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who are capable
of connecting with the reality of the professional world, working on a
team, creating and maintaining an optimal network of national and
international contacts, coordinating their activities within the
institutional structure and becoming involved in it, and integrating
themselves in ESADE's educational model.
The candidate must be proficient in English (and be able to teach
in this language) and have full mastery of Spanish and legal
terminology. Advanced knowledge of other languages will be given
special consideration.

The Department of Law is an academically active group that
includes faculty members of various profiles and levels of time
dedication who primarily teach and conduct research in economic and
business law.
